I just wanted to say thank you. I am able to go through this easier because I know I have great family and friends like you and Missy. If a few years ago someone told me that we would be this close or that you would be helping us in this way, I probably wouldn't have believed them. Today, I am so glad to be able to say that you are helping and I couldn't have asked for a better person for the job. hahaha. You and Missy have been the best inspiration in my life and I'm so glad that I can count on you guys. Thanks for being there. :)

Oh what to say to my little bristle brains!!!!! Time has sure flown by, here you are a very talented young man with a fine family of his own. I can't take much credit teaching you Wildwood Flower on the mandolin (I'm still trying to learn it) you've come so far from those days and your bound to go futher yet. The only thing that I really want to say is when that day comes just don't forget all us little people back here on the mountain. You were always so special to me when you were a young guy growing up here. I sometimes wish we could go back to those days when I would see you come walking across the yard to play with Mandy or bring over some little thing just for Mark. I also remember the day that you came to the door dressed up like Santa. I don't think Mark remembers it but I do. It was always those little things that made you special. Sometimes I look at you up there on stage and I think back to the time we were trying to get you to sing at your fathers 5oth birthday party. You wanted nothing to do with that and were so scared you started crying. How about the time when you got made at your mother because she let me and Uncle Louie listen to a tape recording that you were singing on. You ran for your room and I followed you just to help make you feel better. I told you then that she only did it because she thought it was cute and she was proud of you.. I bet she is that much more proud of you today. I know I am........and you'll always be my little bristle brains no matter how big you get.......Love you

Just realized I hadn't put in my goals so I did it this morning. Wasn't aware that anyone over the age of 65 had any other goal than survival!!

It's hard to believe that I have know Corey for 10 years now. He has become an important part of our family and he continues to weave a thread that binds us all together. I want to thank him for the very moving Leaner Page he wrote. When I read the Page a couple of weeks ago while visiting the Institute I could barely speak afterwards. I have had to re-read it several times before I could express my thoughts. As he knows, I don't easily show or express my feelings so even this is hard to do.

I never really thought of myself as doing anything different than someone else might do when someone needs help or just someone to talk with.

What he may not realize is that he has been my Leaner. The strength and insight he provided to me during some very trying times was greatly appreciated. Corey helped me by showing compassion and insight far beyond his years. I told him that he must have an old soul to have the ability to provide the guidance and support he has shown with me.

Many people are confused or can't quite understand why Michael or I may refer to him as "my son" or "my boy". We think of him as our son and will always be there for him.

I am so proud of him for the man he has become, for the husband he has aspired to be and for the loving and attentive father he is for his boys. He will accomplish easily whatever he sets for his goals and will reach it without any doubt.

It's exciting to see him as a Leaner for his family and friends and the response he has received. He so much more relaxed and happy now that his family is closer to him.

Love you,
Diane

Stay the course, exactly as you are and life will give you more fruit than anyone could ever ask. If the world had many more of you it would greatly improve. I'm not going to ramble on, first of all there's not enough space on this site to express how proud I am of you. You are an example of a person who, at a very young age, has become a major leaner to everyone because you listen, absorb and react positively. Your Aunt and I love and respect you more than you can imagine.

If ever there were people who walk the walk it''s this young couple. Corey and Missy are wonderful people whom we met and fell in love with not for the talent but who and what they are. A perfect couple for role models. Love you both.
