My Mom, Peggy

My Mom has always been there for me. Although they are both a little Goofy, but I will love them no matter what.

My mom is wonderful and the best Mom I could ask for. If someone needs help on something she puts everything aside and makes you feel as though she as all the time in the world to sit there with you till it’s done. She is always thinking about my brother and I and our families and willing to share whatever it is she has. So many times my Mom and Dad will show up at our house with homemade breads or pies or something new she’s made for us to try. She always bakes more then they need so she can share it with us all. Mom loves the idea of sharing homemade things. One time while they were taking care of our daughter, Cassie, Mom decided to take Cassie fabric shopping. We knew nothing of this and a few weeks later there was Mom in Cassie’s room hanging all new curtains she had made. Not only did she do this for Cassie, but for all four grandchildren.
She would always make sure to be involved in everything my brother I did. Whether it was after-school activities or making sure we had time to invite friends over on the weekends or now being supportive of my band and my work.
Some of the best leaning moments I have had with my Mom were cooking together. Either on Saturday or Sunday we would plan something new for dinner. On that day we would work together to make dinner. Dad never knew what he was going to get. HAHA It was just a fun time and I learned a lot about cooking from spending that time with my Mom. It was also a time that brought our family together. My brother would be there and usually my grandparents as well.
My Mom wants nothing more than to have our family and friends to be together doing things and having fun together to create as many leaning moments as we can; specially our family. She loves having us all together. That’s probably one of her number one goals in life. Thank you for working hard to make all the wonderful leaning memories I have possible. I love you Mom!

I just wanted to tell Peggy that I think she is a very special person. Anytime we are over to her house, she always makes us feel welcome. I used to spend a lot of time at her house before Shaun and I met the loves of our lives (lol) and I just want to thank her for always making me feel like a part of the family. So Peggy, don't ever change, thank you for everything, and for always thinking of me, Kevin and Kaleb.

My mother in law is one of a kind. She is always available to lend a helping hand for the family or anyone else who needs it. She puts others before herself and she has no problem doing so. She is a true Leaner!!!! Even though, I don't go to her as often as she would like me to (because I am too independent), I know that she is only a phone call away for anything I might need. She made me feel like a part of the family from the beginning and my daughter too! I am so grateful for that.
Peggy has a wonderful way with people. She makes all of us feel important and special. She cares and wants to know everything going on in our lives. She is also a wonderful, caring grandmother. The kids love spending time with her. She will drop what she is doing for any one of them!!!!
I am lucky to be her daughter-in-law. Thank you for everything!!!

No matter what it is...She is always thinking of you, and wondering how you are. She will call just to check in, or drop by just to say hi. Peggy is a true leaner, and always in a positive mood. Comment by Rene' on February 5, 2009 at 12:58pm - Peggy is my mother-in-law but in all aspects of things she is my mom too. She has been there for me through so much even more so than my own mother. She has never turned her back on me no matter what the problem is that arises and I need her for. I will ALWAYS be grateful for what she has done for me and helped me through. Just to name something that has MEANT the world to me is what she has been doing for the last year and a half. Mom joined Weight Watchers with me to be my support so I wouldn't quit. I was supposed to have the gastric bypass surgery and they had told me to join weight watchers for insurance reasons. Well when I first joined things didn't go so great so I was still going to have the surgery. Then for reasons that I am SOOO grateful for now the surgery got postponed and that is when Mom joined with me to keep me going. It has been a LONG, HARD, year and a half but TOGETHER we are getting through it and the weight is SLOWLY coming off but it is still coming off. I think that if it weren't for her that I would have quit Weight Watchers a long time ago and then had the surgery for the quick way out. I know now that I CAN do it. I just have to put my mind to it and with the help and support of my family and loved ones I am doing it. I just want to say how much I LOVE and VALUE our relationship. You are my rock no matter what and I LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH FOR THAT!!!!! Thanks for EVERYTHING!! Love ~Rene'~

Peggy has such a great spirit about her. She has always made me feel like family. What i think i like lost about peggy is how devoted she is to her family. i have always noticed her doing everyhting she can to keep the peace and make sure that everyone is happy. She is such a giver, everytime i see her she welcomes me with a hug and always has. I am so thankful that she is close to Missy and my boys because she truely gives her love to all that she conciders family.
My kids will always know Peggy as family because she treats them like her own grandkids. Thank you Peggy for always smiling and your hugs and your love for family you set a great example for all of us, and i appreciate how you include my little family in yours. keep Leaning
