I am honoring my parents as leaners in my life. They are two people, that make this world and my life a better place. They are always there for me and my family in good times and bad. No matter what issues I have had growing up, I could always go to my parents, never be judged, and always be loved. I can always count on them. They have given me their all in raising me. I feel I would not be who I am today with out their love and guidance. Not only do they unconditionally love me, and my children, but they have always taken my husband in like their own son. They worry about him, think about him, and support him as if he is their own. They rarely miss an important event in our lives, and if by chance they have to miss something, you can tell how dissapointed they are. We only live two houses apart, and have to see each other every single day, and of course talk on the phone several times throughout the day as well.....As silly as it sounds, its some of the best parts of our days spending time with them, and talking and hanging out. Without my parents, my life would be incomplete. They mean so much to me and my family, and I thank god every single day for them. Thank you mom and dad for being the biggest leaners in my life.

Chris & Tom are a terrific team! They are a solid and united rock, and I knew this at first meeting. You can just tell these things about people. I am only getting to know them during the past couple of years.
I don't see them very often, but I always feel elated to glimpse them across the room, and am drawn like a magnet to go blab with them! I would love to spend more time with them and get to know them better. Any time spent hanging out with them, and in fact with any of Corey & Missy's family and friends by extension, is a complete comfort! From day one, I've felt completely at home with them. From day one, they all make Pete and I feel welcome and like family. Could you ever ask for anything more?

And now that I am thinking about it, they show support to all the people in their lives and make us all feel important. I really enjoy being around them. They both have a great sense of humor. I look forward to spending most of the summer with them ,as they go to just about every festival to show their support of Corey and the band. They are the most loving grandparents and most definitely very proud of even the littlest things they do. I am lucky to call them friends!!

Comment by Melissa Zink on February 6, 2009 at 11:14pm - Well my entire family just last week traveled out of the country and due to the recent birth of our newest son we did not go....If anything else could have gone wrong while they were away I'd think we had been cursed....At any rate...corey and I learned, that life would not be the same without them here. The situations that arose were nothing my parents could have changed or fixed... But just knowing that they are two houses down, makes us feel safe. If we need them, they are there..for whatever reason...and having them gone..made us realize two things....One, YES we actually CAN survive without them....but more importabntly we DON'T WANT TO!!!! It sure made us appreciate them so much more. but NEVER again are they allowed to leave without us :) There is nothing like family.....

I can't count the number of miles they've driven to come to the Acoustic Blue shows alone. I always enjoy having them around and they always make you feel welcome and at home. They're both great leaners; showing their support of the band and being great friends. I'm looking forward to another summer of traveling with Tom and Chris. Thanks for being such good friends. I have always felt like a member of the family because of you both and i appreciate the all you do for Missy and I.
I am lucky to have inlaws like you. You are wonderful grandparents and great friends. Thanks for being Leaners for all of us.
