You may know him by Bob, Robert, Rob, even Kabob, me I call him Babe.

We have been together for sixteen years and over those years he has blessed my life in so many ways. Some of these blessings have come by way of nothing more than a smile, a gentile hand on my side, a hug after a long day at work. The simple words I Love You or every things going to be alright set my life at ease. He has let me break through the wall he holds around himself to see a man that has a heart that is filled with love and kindness. A man that if you take the time look hard enough you can see and feel what he hold inside.

He had given my children someone they can talk to when they can’t talk to me. He has become their friend, adviser, and supporter. I’ve heard it said that anyone can be a father but it takes someone special to be a Dad. Well he has become just that to Samantha and Justin and it’s not something he had to do or that he was asked to do he just did it and I am so grateful for that.

His feelings for family and friends although not always seen runs very deep. When they hurt he hurts just as bad. He can make you laugh so hard you cry. But can turn your tears into a smile. He can be stone serious or off the wall crazy. You just never know what to expect when he walks in the room. But you know when he leaves your spirit has been lifted.

All these things he gives to me make each day worth living. If he never became part of my life I don’t know where I would be.

He is my all my everything my Babe.

We will be there within a week or 2. I miss you and can't wait to be able to spend some quality time just me and you! I love you, Mom.

As for me, I'm Rob's Mom and very proud of that. My #1 son is strong yet soft hearted. Tall and handsome and such a hard worker! I don't think I've ever known anyone outside of his Dad (Ron Zink) to be a harder worker. I have so many wonderful memories about my son. As a child, there never was a dinner meal where he didn't bring up rats, dead animals, snakes, road kill or something to get me to scream and the rest of the family to laugh. I'll always remember him telling Tracey (DON"T look at me) at the breakfast table! Or the time I sent him for a switch and he brought back a 2 x 4 as he laughed and said Ma will this do the trick? Needless to say we all cracked up laughing and I then let him slide from the switch idea!
Another time he taught our dog to carry the wood for the wood stove to the house for him. He tied his sled to the dog and piled it full of wood. He held a piece of meat close to the dog’s nose and the dog brought the wood to the house. You tell me, was that kid smart or what? He was my snake catcher, mouse retriever and furniture mover. But most of all he is my # 1 Son and Always will be. I am proud of him and where and how he lives. He has his own mini farm and He lives with one great girl! Lisa. They are great together! I'll never forget how beautiful he was as a baby and how happy I was to know he was mine! No-one could have ever taken him from me! We grew up together! I love him so much more than he'll ever know! I plan to spend the summer up North and plan to get to have many more leaning moments with my #1 Son. I love you Rob! Mom

I met Robert for the first time when he picked Audrey and I up at the Albany airport and boy did I get a bear hug. From that time on we seemed to bypass "howdy" and went straight to frienship. When he found out I was an outdoorsman that strenghthened our relationship expeditiously! He invited Audrey and I over to his secluded haven and he couldn't wait to slide my torso onto his atv so we could rumble through hill and dale. Through our commradery afterwards I found him to be personable and straightforward. Accepting me into his family gave me a since of pride and comfort. He is truly a person of wealth by his demeanor and confidence . When Audrey and I come to visit this summer I can't wait to spend a great deal of time wnadering through his domain chatting with him just to enjoy getting to know him as a step-son!

I think over time it has always been hard for me to tell my brother how much he means to me. Because of the Leaning philosophy i am learning how to be a better brother. I have always wanted to make my big brother proud. I have to admit that i am envious of all the things he knows how to do. He is one of hardest working people i know and like our Dad he takes great pride in everything he does. He has always made me feel like he would be there for me and I value that very much. I love to think back on times he would take me for a ride with him on his snowmoblie or ATV. He taught me how to drive them and i have many great memories of being a little boy riding on the back just waiting to be big and strong like him. I learned a lot from him when i was little. I guess i would have to say that the best times i have with my brother is when we are all together as a family. He is a great uncle to my boys and i can tell he loves them so much. It makes me so happy that he loves them like he does. Cooper (my 2 year old) talks about him (pointing to his picture) all the time even though he calls him"Kabob" because he has not quite got the word "uncle" down yet. I know that because our lives are so busy we do not get to spend much time together but I am writing this to let him know that i am proud of him, I am happy he is my brother, uncle to my boys and my friend. He has always treated my wife like someone special and i appreciate that more than he knows. I am looking forward to my boys learning from him and having many great times with him just like i did. i guess he could still teach me a thing or two also.

I call him Robert, and he lets me :) and my boys call him Kabob....What ever you call him, he is the BEST brother in law you could ask for. He treats me like I am his family. I love seeing him, and Lisa is right, he wears his heart on his sleeve. Even if he doesn't want you to beleive that. He is a great big teddy bear. I love his personality, and the way he can make me laugh no matter what. I love going to see him and lisa, and walking around their gorgeous property checking out all the animals that he loves to have there. We always have a great time with them, and wish we had more time to spend. I know that if I ever needed anything AT ALL he would be there in a heartbeat..well except a diaper change :) but I love him no matter what. No one could be a better Brother in law to me than Robert. Im so thankful for him to be a part of my life.
