I think my Aunt Suzie has no idea how much we all love her so i want to let her know how i feel about her.
Aunt Suzie is a Leaner
I remember being small and spending many days and night’s at her house. Shane (Her son) had the biggest and best sand box in the Berkshires, at least thats how i remember it. I remember most how my Aunt Suzie showed her love for me. She always made sure Shane and I behaved and because I was just a little bit older than Shane she always made me feel like I had to set a good example for him. She showed me she trusted me. She always made sure I wasn’t thirsty or hungry while I was there. Always made sure we webt to be at the right hour. those were fun sleepovers. One thing that really stands out from those days was how great her Iced tea was. I loved it, I know it seems strange but there was something about her handing me that glass every time she would call us in for lunch. Maybe it was her love coming through, I don’t know, but boy it was good. I am so grateful for all the times she came and picked me up to stay at her house. There was little going on where I lived as far as other kids were concerned so going to her neighborhood was a great treat to me. I think I got my love for plants from Aunt Suzie she always had such nice plants and flowers growing in her house and took such pride in them. Just a couple months ago she gave me a plant out of nowhere that meant so much to me. She told me how to dip my finger in the dirt to check for the proper moisture. It is doing great and I know she will be checking it when she comes by to see how I am doing. That meant a lot to me that she gave it to me but again it’s the little things in life, the Leaning Moments. I also remember going with Aunt Suzie, Uncle Dave and Shane to that theme park during one summer funny thing is I just remember the car ride being really fun and I don’t even remember being on any rides I guess that’s because I just loved being with all of them.
Thank you, Aunt Suzie for giving me those memories, and love over the years. I can only hope that we can spend more time together in the future so my boys get to know what a great person you are.. Thanks for making Missy feel a part of the family and for your constant love to my boys.
Love Corey

Aunt Susie is such a sweet heart, always on the go, but so thoughtful of everyone. She is a hard worker, and loves her family. I love to see her smiling face! I am so thankful to be a part of the family that she loves so much!

As promised, here I am "writing more soon".
Suzie is an extraordinary person. One of a kind, One in a million. Susie is the youngest of the "Zink siblings" but, rest assured, one of the most important. She's watched the 3 brothers with their up-and-down battles with their music and was there as a "listening post" and adviser whenever needed, without fail. She's Raised a family with more love and care than anyone I've ever known. If I had a choice of either being her brother or her son, I'd be her son in a minute. Of course, the way she cooks I wouldn't be as trim as I am and looking like an aging Clint Eastwood. I'd be a 600 pound hulk with the biggest food smile you ever saw.
I don't think any of us brothers pay as nearly much attention to Susie as we should and for that I am dearly sorry. But that doesn't mean she isn't loved as much as anyone in the family. I personally love her more than she thinks. Anytime I reflect back on my childhood I see this beautiful little girl with a smile that would melt the world. The kind you want to hold in your arms forever. Of course, I didn't see it then, she was just the pesty little kid who, with her sister Sandy, put all of her lizzards in my outboard motor test tank and hated me several days because I started my motor (not knowing the lizzards were in there) and sent them all to la-la land. I think she called me "the lizzard killer" back then.
Now we are grown and we are now grandparents and (Good God!!) great grandparents. And you know Suzie, even now I just want to hold you in my arms like that little girl and tell you how much you really mean to me. And, the next time we meet I might just do that....

Blrring, Blrring, Blriing. Hello, is this Mrs. Kykenhinney?
You've got to know that's one of the fondest memories I have in my whole life. Sure glad you were there as a recipient to help me launch my career as a major PITA.....But it's one of life's truly great connections. You'll never know how much I "leaned on you" to make me laugh every time you answered that phone. And I'm sure Sandy will agree!!
Love you...I'll write more soon...
