What is a Leaning Moment?
A Leaning Moment is that moment of harmony between two
people, when both are leaning to each other in spirit. It happens
when a mother comforts a child, when two friends meet and embrace,
or it can be as simple as strangers holding doors for each other.
When we have a lot of Leaning Moments with someone, it is
easy for us to say that we "love" that person. The more Leaning
Moments we have within our families and relationships the
happier and stronger we will become. It is important that we take
advantage of every opportunity to create Leaning Moments
with others. “Our Lives are defined and valued by Leaning Moments”.

OF PAGE What is a Leaner?
A Leaner is an individual who has reached out to us and has
really made a difference in our lives. We count on Leaners
for guidance and strength. A Leaner knows where they are
going and produces positive change in their own life and the lives
of others. A Leaner is someone who always makes you feel
good about yourself and makes you feel more valuable. A
Leaner is held in high esteem for their ability to stay the
course toward a goal that advances humanity.

OF PAGE The Power of Leaning The Power of Leaning helps you enjoy your journey through
life. It teaches us how to better our relationships with our family
and friends. Life can be a wonderful experience with others opening
doors for us as we move forward toward our goals. The Power of
Leaning is all about knowing where you are going and always
being ready to give and receive. There's a special harmony that’s
created when there's an opportunity to help someone with their
goals. Leaning toward your goals and Leaning toward
each other is what The Power of Leaning is all about.
The Leaner Network is dedicated to publicly honoring and
celebrating the Leaners in our lives. By creating a page for
your Leaner and submitting your own videos and stories about
them you are showing your gratitude toward that person, and giving
others the opportunity to share in your appreciation. The Leaner
Network also teaches us that by simply reflecting on Leaning
Moments, our spirits can be easily lifted and we can feel more
valuable. When people feel appreciated they feel better about
themselves.

Leaner Page
The Leaner Page is the place to Honor and Celebrate the
Leaners in your life by sharing Leaning Moments
you've had with that person through a Leaner Video that
you've created or a story that you want to tell. As new Leaner
Pages are created they will be sorted into categories such as
Parents, Spouses, Siblings, Children, Friends, Teachers, Coaches,
Colleagues, In Memory Of and Other Leaners.
A Leaner Video is your way of publicly thanking your
Leaner. The video can be however you want it, but the idea
is to tell a story about your Leaner that shows examples of
how and why you appreciate them and what makes them a person you
count on. After uploading
your video add it to the Leaner Page you've created for
your Leaner. That way, when you invite family and friends to
see your Leaner Page, they can comment on your video and
offer their own stories about that person, making the whole
Leaner Page a big "Thank you" to your Leaner. The
Leaner Network supports .mov, .mpg, .avi, .wmv and .3gp movie
file formats. To get your video looking its best we suggest using
the "iPod video" format. This is h.264 mp4 with AAC audio. Also,
use the size 426x324. This will give you the sharpest look.

OF PAGE Leaner Story
When you're writing a Leaner Story for your Leaner
it's important to remember that this is your way of publicly
thanking that person, so you want to show them in the best light
for other people to read as an example of a Leaner. The
Leaner Story doesn't have to be a biography of the persons
life as long as it gives a good picture of your Leaner's
personality and what makes them a Leaner. Sometimes the best
Leaner Story might be one example of something they did that
exemplifies who they are as a person. It might help to write your
story first, then create a Leaner
Page and finally paste it into the "Text Box" on that
page.
Profile and Leaner Page Photos
If you upload a picture for your profile or for a Leaner Page
you've created and the top of the picture is cut off, you may need
to crop the photo. If you don't have any photo editing software, we
recommend you download the free version of Picasa for Mac or PC and use the crop tool
to get a square picture.
