James & Michele

When we think of the people in our lives that we love we often remember great times, special feelings that we have had with them and just how much we always look forward to seeing them. When we do this we are reflecting on "Leaning Moments". Some of my best Leaning Moments over the past year were with James and Michele. I wanted to post this blog to thank them both for enriching my life in so many ways and teaching me so much about life. The Leaning Institute, the Leaning philosophy and the Lean… Continue

Mothers Day

On this Mothers Day i want to share with everyone how wonderful it is to see Leaning in action over the last year. Since the birth of my two boys i have seen how important the "Mother Role" truely is and i have gained a new respect for all the Mothers out there who have given so much of themselves to their children and families. In my case i have watched my wife become an extraordinary Mother and i see the love in the eyes of my boys for her every day. Mothers truelt define "LeaContinue

Corey, you make beautiful music. I've spoken James Sarvis, and I'm hoping we can find a way to showcase you and what you're doing and help each other. I look forward to working together.

I know how hard today has been for you and the family. I hope you find some comfort in this. I love you all.

Dogs don't havwe souls, do they?

I remember bringing you home. You were so small and cuddly with your tiny paws and soft fur.
You bounced around the room with eyes flashing and ears flopping. Once in a while, you'd let out alittle yelp just to let me know this was your territory.
Making a mess of the house and chewing on everything in sight became a passion, and when I schlided you, you just put your head down and looked up at me with those innocent eyes, as if to say, "I'm sorry, but I'll do it again as soon as you're not watching."
As you got older, you protected my by looking out the window and barking at everyone who walked by. When I had a tough Day at work, you would be waiting for me with your tail wagging, just to say, "Welcome home, I missed you." You never had a bad day, and I could always count on you to be there for me.
When I sat down to read the paper and watch TV, you would hop on my lap, looking for attention. You nevver asked for anything more than to have me pat your head so you could go to sleep with your head over my leg.
As you got older, you moved around more slowly. Then, one day, old age finally took its toll. and you couldn't stand on those wobbly legs anymore. I knelt down and patted you lying there trying to make you young again. You just looked up at me as if to say that you were old and tired and that after all these years of not asking for naything, you had to ask ne for one favor.
With tears in my eyes, I drove you one last time to the vet. One last time, you were laying next to me. For some strange reason, you were able to stand up in the animal hospital; perhaps it was your sense of pride.
As the vet led you away, you stopped for na instant, turned your head and looked at me as if to say, "Thank you for taking care of me."
I thought, "No , thank you for taking care of me."

Good Sunday morning to you. I have already told you over the phone how much I have enjoyed Acoustic Blue's latest cd. What I didn't tell you was how much I look forward to seeing more of your playing, singing, and writing. By the way, I listened to the end of Mikey's song where he declared his satisfaction and I totally agree with it. He does a super job singing that song. Continue on your journey with your music giving the world more of "you just being you."
